Child safety on InterChat

InterChat has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation. Protecting children is part of who we are as a faith community.

InterChat is for people aged 13 and older, and we delete any account we find belongs to someone under 13. Adults must not seek private, secretive or romantic contact with minors, and nothing that sexualises, grooms or exploits a child is ever allowed โ€” including drawn, AI-generated or "fictional" depictions.

To report:

  • In the app: long-press the message or open the profile โ†’ Report, and choose the reason about a child's safety.
  • By email: safety@interchathq.com. Include the username(s), community name and what happened. Don't send images of abuse โ€” describe them instead.
  • If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local police or emergency services first.

You can also report directly to the NCMEC CyberTipline (report.cybertip.org), or your local police or child-protection hotline.

Full detail is in our Child Safety Standards.
