Roles in a community

Every community is run by the people who create and manage it โ€” its owners, admins and moderators. They're responsible for setting its rules, keeping it welcoming, and acting on problems.

Admins can:

  • Add or remove members
  • Choose who can post
  • Pin messages
  • Manage Prayer Rooms

Community rules can be stricter than InterChat's own Community Guidelines, but they can never allow anything those guidelines forbid.

Communities marked Official are run by InterChat itself, rather than by an individual or church.

If a community's leaders are using their role unfairly โ€” for example, pressuring members for money, or sharing members' information outside InterChat without permission โ€” you can report it. See Reporting and what happens next.
