If a chat or community is busy and you need some quiet, you can mute it instead of leaving.
- Swipe left on the chat or community in your Chats list and tap Mute, or open its info screen and mute it from there.
Muting stops routine notifications from that chat, but you'll still be notified if someone @mentions you directly — so you won't miss something meant specifically for you.
You can unmute a chat the same way, whenever you're ready to turn notifications back on. Muting is private: nobody else in the chat is told you've muted it.
